The truth is, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. I cannot make you do anything you don’t want to, or that you don’t feel comfortable doing.
You are hypnotising yourself, and I am merely facilitating. Everyone’s experience of hypnosis is unique to them, and while most will only enter a light trance, others may go deeper – but how deep you go into hypnosis is also down to the individual.
Think of hypnotherapy as a deep and relaxing meditation during which
positive suggestions are relayed straight to your subconscious, to
manifest in your waking life in a light, natural and organic way.

The process is broken into four parts:
Induction – getting you in a relaxed state, just like meditation, and calming your monkey mind down with imagery such as walking through a lovely garden to an idyllic beach at sunset
Deepening – getting you even deeper, so that your judgmental conscious mind loses interest and drifts off, allowing the therapeutic intervention to filter directly to your subconscious
Therapeutic Intervention – positive messages about a specific subject are relayed straight to your subconscious mind
Release – usually in the form of a countdown, bringing you back to a normal state, feeling refreshed and enthused
I usually suggest a few stretches before and after.
